Lisa Lapan - Partner

Lisa Lapan began her career representing actors at Innovative Artists Talent & Literary Agency before transitioning into development for Harbor Entertainment, a production company in New York City.  At Harbor Entertainment she helped produce and develop theatre for Broadway, off-Broadway and regional theatre, including MARTIN SHORT’S FAME BECOMES ME, ALL SHOOK UP, and the Tony-nominated revival of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, as well as the feature-film-turned-animated-series BLACK DYNAMITE, which premiered at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival.   Lisa left production to earn a law degree, and spent several years practicing at the premier entertainment law firm Hansen Jacobson, et al., where she represented production companies as well as writers, producers, directors and actors for film, television and digital media.  At the law firm, she worked closely with her clients to develop and produce over two hundred television and film projects, structuring and negotiating deals, and staying intimately involved from inception through completion.

Originally from Arizona, she is a graduate of Northwestern University and UCLA School of Law.  Her article “Network Television and the Digital Threat”, published in the UCLA Entertainment Law Journal, has been cited as an authority multiple times by the 2nd Circuit court.
